To see Hudson parametrised builds on your phone, run HudsonMobi, connect to “Default Hudson instance” and select “Hudson CI Param” sample job:

1. Open menu and select “Start this build”

2. List of parameters with default values are displayed: tap on the parameter you want to customise.

3. Change parameter value and click OK

4. Tap on “Build NOW” to start your build.

… and there you go πŸ™‚

There are a few limitations to this new feature:

    1. The user used to login needs to have read access to the configuration of the job you want to launch: if read access is not granted a 404 or 403 error will be received and the build should start with all parameters with default values

    2. Not all kind of parameters are supported, the supported ones are:
    – String parameters
    – Boolean parameters
    – Choice parameters
    – Password parameters

Run and File parameters are not supported in this release: they will keep their default values if used.

Does this work with jenkins too`?

Yes, it does and we always check for compatibility with both Jenkins and Hudson.

There is a new version anyway coming out in August that will be 100% designed for Jenkins.
